Based in Shanghai, Christine Liu has established sHero, helping women professionals in China make informed and balanced choices in their personal and professional lives. Her passion is promoting the wellbeing of women and children. As the founder and CEO of sHero, she started a Forum in 2007 to promote active dialogue through which women can feel empowered to manage their career advancement and life balance.
Christine Liu is an accomplished senior executive in the field of Human Resources, having held a wide range of leadership positions with multinational companies across industries of luxury fashion, pharmaceuticals, information Technology and manufacturing. With the Richemont Group, she provided leadership for HR strategies including organizational development for change management and the attraction of top talent in 13 countries throughout the Asia Pacific region and India. As Director of HR for Glaxo Smith Kline, Christine strategically partnered with senior China business leaders and global functional management to create a center of excellence through benchmarking best practices to support business growth for GSK. Christine also worked in various functions with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Electronic Data System (EDS)/GM, Cummins – all in China.
Christine received her Bachelor degree in International Trade from Northeast University of Finance and Economics, Dalian in Liaoning Province. She is also an Alumnus of the premiere “Women and Power” program with Harvard Kennedy School, and actively participated in activities and initiatives associated with the program. She resides in Shanghai with her husband, Richard.
